Kids go on Space Adventure at the Public Museum

Sioux City (ABC9 News) Siouxland kids got the chance to have a space adventure Thursday at the Sioux City Public Museum.

As a part of the Museum's Family Activity Series, this past Kids Thursday program, students learned about various aspects of space exploration.

Education Coordinator of the Public Museum, Connie MacFarlane, says this Kids Thursday Program was one children have been looking forward too all summer long.

This one is called 'Space Adventure.' It's open for families or whoever wishes to bring a child and go through the activities with them. We set it up as centers their making rockets, their launching rockets, their making UV bracelets, their designing rockets and playing a rocket game." says McFarlane.

The Sioux City Public Museum will conclude its summer programming with a special program featuring an Iowa Public Television character on August 11.
