13th annual Sioux City International Film Festival kicked off Sunday

67 short films from around the world, are being screened at this year's event

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The 13th annual Sioux City International Film Festival kicked off Sunday.

The festival's newly unveiled slogan is, "Bringing the World's Movies to Sioux City."

In all, 67 short films from around the U.S. and the world, are being screened at this year's event.

The festival featured, "Silent Film Sunday," a new family-friendly kickoff at the Orpheum Theatre downtown.

"We bring the world's movies to Sioux City and we are doing that," said Sioux City Film Festival President, Tim BottaroI. "I mean they're going to see movies from all over the world and they're outstanding."

The Sioux City International Film Festival has numerous events scheduled, through next Saturday, February 25th.
