A man placed on escape status after failing to return to a davenport work release facility, has been apprehended. 39-year-old, John Frederick Mohr, is in custody in the Scott County Jail.

Mohr was ordered to work release following parole revocation back in April and escaped Friday.
Mohr was convicted of second degree murder in Clinton county back in 1997, in the death of his then-girlfriend's 13-month-old son. He is serving a sentence of 50 years.
