Beating drums led Siouxlanders to explore Africa Night at the African Christian Fellowship of the First United Methodist Church here in Sioux City.

Lasting from 4:30 pm to 7:30 Saturday evening, the festival of diversity and culture celebrates a few African countries. The program of activities included a parade, exhibits, cultural food-tasting, and of course, fashion.

"There are so many misconceptions out there so if we are able to let our neighbors in and our friends come into what we are doing, I think it'll help a lot a build a stronger community,  " says Dr. Kweku Ocran, Co-Emcee of Africa Night.

Later in the program was set to be a drums and dancing. All were welcomed to attend Saturday's festivities.
