Best known for being a judge on The Food Network's 'Iron Chef America', Mario Rizzoli is serving up authentic Italian dishes in Sioux City his way.
"Not too many people have the choice or have the opportunity to see somebody from 'The Food Network' and educating you on authentic Italian cuisine," said celebrity chef Mario Rizzoti from 'The Food Network'.
Chef Rizzoti brought the taste of Italy to Sioux city. During the five-course meal, Rizzoti made it a point to educate diners on the inner workings of each designated dish.
"So I like to educate people about authentic Italian ingredients, authentic Italian recipes, and it's very important that people understand that there is a big difference."
Each authentic Italian entree had hand selected ingredients from Sioux City's Farmer's Market.
"Besides authentic Italian, I like to go to Sioux City's Farmer's Market to choose my beautiful ingredients to make sure that the meal has a 100 percent wonderful taste," says Rizzoti.
Chef Rizzoti says Wednesday's event is more than just eating food.
"It's not just a consumption of food, it's a celebration of dolce vita."
Chef Rizzoti will end his "4 The Love of Authentic Italian Food" tour on Thursday in Sioux Falls.
