Four Sioux City teens are now facing felony charges in connection to a brutal assault earlier this month that sent a man to the hospital.

According to the Sioux City Police Department, 16-year-old Al Lewis and 15-year-old Kenneth Thompson are now facing charges for their roles in the beating.

Earlier this week Sioux City Police arrested 16-year-olds Austin Rockwood and De'Von Jackson and charged them with Willful Injury in connection to the crime.

Authorities say the teens were among the group of people caught on surveillance video beating a man on the 1500 block of West 3rd Street in Sioux City.

Authorities say that the victim, Nicholas Hodgins, observed a fight in the area and walked over to watch the altercation. That's when authorities say Hodgins was surrounded by multiple subjects who punched him and tackled him to the ground. While on the ground the subjects continued to punch and kick him causing serious injury.

Police say that Hodgins suffered a fractured orbital socket, had several teeth shattered, and suffered a severe concussion following the assault. Authorities say that while he was unconscious, the group also went through the victim's pockets and stole his cell phone.

Lewis has been charged with one count of Willful Injury. Thompson is currently charged with Willful Injury, 1st Degree Theft, and Assault while participating in a Felony.

Authorities are not releasing any additional information at this time but say that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
