A major construction project is finally wrapping up, more than three months behind its original completion date.
Glenn Avenue has been closed between S. Cecelia and South Martha Streets since June.
The project was slated to be done by the end of August, but was given several deadline extensions.
The City of Sioux City announced that the road will be reopened on Wednesday, December 2nd, beginning at noon.
Sioux City Engineering Co. was contracted by the city to do the project.
According to the contract, the company would be fined by $1,200 per day late fine owed to the city.
A call to see if the city would be enforcing the entire fine, which would be around $100,000.
