Iowa Governor Terry Branstad joined members of the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ on Thursday to deliver a proclamation to celebrate Thanksgiving Day.
Branstad was surrounded by the clergy, deacons, and choir members who dressed in authentic pilgrim costumes to celebrate thanksgiving day.
"Thanksgiving Day is a time for us to gather as friends and family and express our appreciation for the challenges that we have met and the many blessings that are families communities and state have experienced," said Branstad.
Church members start Thanksgiving every year with this annual special congregation.
