A man convicted of attempted murder for shooting at a Sioux City police officer is asking a judge to overturn his guilty verdict.
The lawyer for Isaiah Mothershed claims trial evidence did not show Mothershed intended to kill officer Ryan Mortiz.
The 19-year-old Sioux City native was found guilty on October 7th of attempted murder as well as first degree robbery. His sentencing is currently set for November 15th in the Woodbury County Courthouse.
