UPDATE: Donald Neunaber Autopsy Results Released

LE MARS, IA (ABC9)- Authorities have released the autopsy results of an 83-year-old Akron man whose body was found along with his wife's in their Akron home last month. A state medical examiner has determined that 83-Year-Old Donald Neunaber died of natural causes. 

Their bodies were discovered by a family member back on July 9th in their rural Plymouth County home. An autopsy of 80-year-old Esther Neunaber determined that she died of blunt force trauma, and her death was ruled a homicide. 

The couple's son, 44-year-old Jonathan Neunaber has been charged with 1st Degree Murder in connection to her death. Authorities say that he admitted to killing his mother while being questioned by investigators. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is scheduled to go to trial in December. He's currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
