The Sioux City Art Center is advising the public to be on the lookout for invalid ArtSplash wristbands after a theft earlier today.

The blue wristbands for the event are not valid for entry and should not be purchased from any source. The Art Center says that fortunately none of the wristbands had been distributed to the public prior to the theft.

For now, admission vouchers are available for purchase in advance at Sioux City and South Sioux City Hy-Vee customer service counters. Those can be exchanged for wristbands at the entrance of this year's event.

This year's ArtSplash will be held on September 3rd and 4th at Riverside Park in Sioux City. For more information you can visit the Art Center's ArtSplash page here.

If you come across any of the voided wristbands, you can contact the Sioux City Police Department at 258-TIPS.
