A 41-year-old Sioux City man has been charged with his 6th OWI after a disturbance call early Sunday morning.

According to court documents police were called out to a residence in the 1700 block of Casselman Street to investigate a violation of a no contact order. When they arrived, police learned that Michael Davis had been operating his vehicle while intoxicated.

Police went to Davis's residence where they found his vehicle in the driveway with the hood still warm. Authorities say that Davis admitted to drinking that night and that he felt intoxicated. Davis told police that he had pulled into his driveway not long before they arrived. Police say that Davis failed an HGN test and refused all other sobriety tests.

According to online court records Davis has been been convicted of OWI five previous times stemming back to at least 2001.

Davis was booked into the Woodbury County Jail and released on a $5,500 bond.
