Sioux City Police Department responded to a disturbance at 2728 S. Helen Street.
Officers learned the suspect, Jamal Randolf, forced his way into the residence and assaulted the persons inside.
During the burglary, one of the victim's inflicted a non-life threatening knife wound to Randolf.
Randolf was taken to the hospital where he was treated, then later released.
Randolf was taken to the Woodbury County LEC and charged with Burglary 1st (Class B Felony), Assault while participating in a felony (Class D Felony), Simple Domestic Assault and two counts of Serious Assault.
He will be held without bond.
No charges will be filed against the victim.
