Sioux City and parts of Siouxland remain under a Winter Storm Warning on Monday afternoon as 6-10 inches of snow are forecast for the area.
What is being called a long duration snowstorm started to drop snow on Monday morning and in Sioux City at least a 70% chance of snow continues until at least nine on Monday night. In all the system could take up to 36 hours to blow through the area.
Snow will become lighter Monday night ending Tuesday. Winds are expected to kick up Monday night and Tuesday. Driving in rural areas could become difficult if moisture levels of the snow decrease.
Siouxland should experience warning conditions by mid-week.
