I am so happy to be living and working in Sioux City and to be surrounded by such wonderful people in the Midwest. I am grateful for the opportunity to work as the weekend anchor and to still have time reporting in the field, meeting many of you.
I am not a native Siouxlander, not even close. I was raised in the Tampa Bay area in sunny Florida. I then attended Indiana University and double majored in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. Being a Hoosier got me hooked on living in the Midwest!
I graduated May of 2013, and immediately packed a moving truck and drove straight to Siouxland. It’s thrilling to start my career here and to have been promoted to my first job at the anchor desk. Sioux City has already been so great to me and I feel blessed to be here.
Some fun facts about me are that I achieved my black belt in karate, I studied abroad in Barcelona for a semester, and my favorite food is Sushi.
I am also a crime show addict so my favorite ABC show is of course Castle.
I so enjoy meeting and speaking with the people in my area, so any and all story ideas or comments are much appreciated.
