Andrew White transferred from Kansas to Nebraska because he wanted to be the go-to guy.

On Saturday, he was that and so much more. White scored a career-high 35 points as Nebraska beat Penn State 70-54.

"I had an efficient night from the floor, but that is kind of what I expect to do just from an efficiency standpoint," said White.

"It was good to get going, but more importantly my coaches just challenged me to have a really big game just because we were in desperation to win, so that is more important. I feel good about the 35 [points] but I feel even better that I could help put my team in a position to win this game," said the junior.

Nebraska visits Indiana on February 17.
