CHICAGO (ABC9 Sports)--Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz has been known through his tenure in Iowa City as an old-school coach. His Hawkeyes have traditionally had strong defenses and offensive lines with a couple of NFL prospects. At Monday's Big Ten Media Day in Chicago, Ferentz emphasized that there's nothing wrong with that.

"Sometimes old-school is a good school, our country is built on some old-school thoughts," he said. "And we still got a lot of good things in our country. To me it is about what is best for your team and your personnel."
