With Big Ten media days underway in Chicago, football teams across the conference are releasing media guides and depth charts. A pair of Siouxlanders happen to lead the way for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton alum Cole Croston is listed as the starting left tackle and former West Lyon star Brandon Snyder is tabbed as starting free safety.

Croston saw action in all 14 games a year ago, starting 10 of them, and was recently named to the 2016 leadership group.

His backup, Brett Waechter of HMS, is also a Northwest Iowa alum.

Snyder, a former ABC9 Male Athlete of the Year, also played in 14 games last year, mostly on special teams and totaled 11 tackles.
