Both Units Strong for USD in Spring Game

South Dakota's offense and defense were each impressive in Saturday's spring football game.
VERMILLION, S.D. (ABC9 Sports)--Kevin Earl threw for 335 yards and four touchdowns in the South Dakota spring football game on Saturday.

Even with those numbers, Earl--who took the reigns as starting quarterback in the middle of last season--struggled at times with an opportunistic USD defense.

The Coyotes forced a fumble and picked Earl off three times in the game.

The USD ground game was nearly nonexistent though, totaling just 38 yards on 28 attempts.
