FEMA Officials Offering Free Rebuilding Advice In Norfolk

Norfolk, NE (ABC9 News) If your property has been affected by recent severe weather, or you're thinking about tacking a remodeling project, you'll want to take advantage of this opportunity.

Specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be on hand starting on Thursday at Menard's in Norfolk, NE to give free information and advice about better protecting your homes and businesses from hazards.

Some of the information on hand includes: ways to fortify the exterior of a structure to better withstand high wind and rain, ways to protect major appliances from flood damage, how to add a safe room for tornado protection, learning the ins and outs about flood insurance and other related topics.

This will go through Monday, August 25 from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
