Former Vikings linebacker Ben Leber says "It doesn't matter" when it comes to openly gay players playing in the NFL. Leber was in Sioux City to be the guest speaker at the 45th annual Sertoma Sports Banquet. When asked if he played with any gay players in his ten years in the NFL Leber said "We suspected a couple of guys were guy, but I never saw them be treated any differently than anybody else. In the locker room nobody cares, nobody thinks about it. In the NFL if you perform on the field and aren't a jerk, then it's all good." Leber also talked about the Vikings hiring Mike Zimmer as head coach. The Vermilion native says Zimmer's fire is exactly what the Vikes need moving forward.
