Muskies End Regular Season With Win

The Sioux City Musketeers got a much-needed win over Youngstown to close out the regular season Saturday night, 5-3.
YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO (ABC9 Sports)--After losing two straight games, the Sioux City Musketeers got a much-needed 5-3 win over Youngstown in their regular season finale Saturday night.

Trevor Olson got the Musketeers on the board first, but the Phantoms responded with two straight goals to take the 3-1 lead early in the third period.

After Cedric Lacroix tied things up, Youngstown notched a short-handed goal to retake the lead.

It was then all Sioux City down the stretch. Bobo Carpenter continued his hot play down the stretch to tie things back up at three. Joe Snively followed just a little over a minute later with the game-winning goal. Joel L'Esperance tacked on an insurance goal to equal the 5-3 final score.

With the win, the Muskies finish third in the Western Conference which sets up a first-round playoff match-up with Omaha. Below are the announced game times for the first round of the Clark Cup Playoffs.
