The Sioux City Police Department is turning to the public, hoping to get more information about an attempted abduction that happened earlier this month.

Sioux City, IA (ABC9 News) The Sioux City Police Department is turning to the public, hoping to get more information about an attempted abduction that happened earlier this month.

Police are looking for a witness who may have information about the incident that happened back on August 2 at Chautauqua Park.

Authorities say a Hispanic man walking a large black dog may have witnessed 40-year-old Chance Michaels attempting to abduct his estranged wife.

This witness is said to be driving a white or tan vehicle.

Police did arrest Michaels, after he tried fleeing by jumping into the Missouri River.
