16-Year-Old Sioux City Boy Charged With Felonies After Stabbing

37-Year-Old Hospitalized After Stabbing
SIOUX CITY, IA (ABC9)- A 16-Year-Old Sioux City boy is facing multiple felonies after a stabbing Sunday night in Sioux City. According to Lt. Mark Kirkpatrick with the Sioux City Police Department, the altercation began outside a bar near 25th and Court Streets in Sioux City. Authorities say that Jamal Green got into a verbal argument with a 37-Year-Old male and then went to a nearby house to retrieve a knife. He then came back and stabbed the man in the neck and stomach. Court documents allege that he also kicked the man in the face while he was on the ground. 

The man suffered lacerations to his liver as a result of the stabbing. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, where he required surgery for his wounds. 

Green has been charged with Felony counts of Willful Injury and Going Armed with Intent as a result of the incident. He was taken into custody and placed in a juvenile shelter following the incident.
